Kayfoam Woolfson is a family business founded by my father, William L. Woolfson, nearly 100 years ago adjacent to the Dublin Quays. The sense of a wider family extends to our 400 employees throughout the six company locations (four in Ireland and two in the UK).

Working in partnership with our customers and listening to their requirements, we have developed a wide range of furnishing and packaging components.

In the last two decades, Ireland has projected itself to the forefront of the world stage in the areas of research and development and Information Technology and Kayfoam through close interaction with our customers, has managed to contribute to some of these exciting developments:

1. Healthcare and Impression Range (consumer/domestic), pressure relieving mattresses and seating, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, posturisation, anti-infection products.

2. Luxury bedding and upholstery furnishing, interiors with unique features.

3. Precision foam cushioning for protection packaging (anti-static) for the IT and Electronics Industry.

We also produce our own branded choice of consumer products (King Koil, Odearest, and Kaymed) and it is a happy coincidence that King Koil will sell their two millionth mattress in the year 2000.

In many ways a website is the best way to capture the technical and diverse nature of the Group's business. Moreover, it is by far the best available method of interacting with our customers, the Industry and the wider public. It has been my express intention during the development of this site, that it does not become a kind of "cyber-wallpaper"- pretty to look at but that's it!
