"KING KOIL CORRECT POSTURE SUPPORT WHILE
YOU SLEEP IN COMFORT"
During the late 1960's the U.S. INTERNATIONAL
CHIROPRACTORS ASSOCIATION (I.C.A.) reported that
"eight out of ten people suffer from back
problems at some time in their lives" and
that a direct contributor to this was inadequate
or incorrect posture support whilst sleeping.
The Posture Committee of the I.C.A. recognised
the need for a sleep system designed with correct
posture support features which could help to alleviate
back problems, and which Chiropractors would confidently
recommend to their patients. The I.C.A. and King
Koil joined forces to work on a research and development
program to design a bed which would full fill
these necessary requirements. The end result of
this intensive program was the development of
the King Koil Spinal Guard now recognised as the
worlds leading back care bed.
The secret of KING KOIL'S success revolves around
the unique inner-spring construction and the quality
filling materials which make up the mattress and
foundation. All King Koil beds feature Flexi-coil
Multi-lastic Springing which is manufactured under
the renowned multi-lastic method. This forms a
series of interconnected coils with all the springs
working together to support the body weight evenly
across the surface area of the mattress.
In selected models in the Back-Care range, the
critical centre third area of the inner springing
unit is reinforced by a revolutionary new development
called Chiro-span Posturisation. This is a series
of steel bands, spanning the spring unit from
side to side. These bands, working in tandem with
the coils create a superior, tension-reinforced
centre which provides additional support to the
lower back region where most of the body weight
is distributed.
KING KOIL HAVE THE EDGE!
In addition, the spring unit is reinforced with
both perimeter wire frames and multiple flex edge
border supports which are fitted at regular intervals.
These special features combine to prevent edge-sag,
a common fault. They also provide a greater sleeping
surface - up to 20% across the full width of the
mattress.
